Umoja Fine Arts would like to take this opportunity to invite you to an exciting event for the city of Southfield. Umoja is hosting a fundraiser for the Friends of Southfield Public Arts on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Please join us for an art-filled night of light hors d’oeuvres and libations in the vibrant and brilliant Umoja Showroom benefiting the 9 Mile Corridor Project.

The 9 Mile Corridor Project aims to revitalize the corridor from Hazel Park to Farmington Hills, by linking the Dequindre Cut Pathway to the trail that runs along I-275, creating an identity for common spaces that includes pathways, signage, benches, bike repair stations, public art and more. Southfield is currently working on the area which stretches from Greenfield to Lahser Road.

Representatives from Friends of the Southfield Public Arts, along with Southfield Mayor Ken Siver, will be in attendance to share more information about the 9 Mile Corridor Project in Southfield and answer any questions that may arise.

In addition, to immerse guests in a night of art, they’ll have a chance to meet and greet Umoja Fine Arts Artists in Residence, Marcel Stewart and Rosemary Summers.
