As an artist with Bipolar Disorder and an Anxiety disorder many of my paintings try to take raw emotion and put them into a form others can understand. This concept for piece was created in the midst of a severe panic attack. I was on a flight and halfway through the anxiety came out of nowhere. All I had was a mini sketch pad and a pencil so just started to draw. Many people can’t explain how they feel during a panic attack, it can take form in so many different ways. This is why all of the faces have a different expression to them. It was the culmination of all the different emotions swirling inside. The moment I got home from my trip I took to the canvas. I chose calming color’s because many people can hide anxiety from others but underneath is where all of the stress truly is.
